Privacy Policy

This policy explains how EatFoodNow handles information when restaurant owners create and manage websites, when visitors use those websites, and when pickup ordering is enabled.

Information we collect

  • Restaurant owner information, including email addresses used for sign-in, claim invites, account ownership, support, and site management.
  • Restaurant website content, including business names, menu files, extracted menu text, prices, photos or PDFs you upload, contact details, custom sections, custom domain settings, and editing history needed to run the site.
  • Order information when online ordering is enabled, including customer name, email, phone number, pickup time, ordered items, totals, Stripe checkout identifiers, and fulfillment status.
  • Technical information such as IP address, host name, browser or device details, authentication/session cookies, rate-limit signals, server logs, and security events.

How we use information

  • To generate, host, edit, claim, and publish restaurant websites.
  • To process uploaded menus with Google Gemini and turn them into editable site content.
  • To send magic-link sign-in emails, claim invitations, order notifications, and customer order confirmations.
  • To support online ordering, Stripe Checkout, Stripe Connect onboarding, custom domains, account dashboards, fraud prevention, rate limiting, debugging, and service security.
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, resolve disputes, and protect EatFoodNow, restaurants, customers, and the public.

AI processing

When you upload menu images or PDFs, EatFoodNow sends them and related prompts to Google Gemini so the menu can be extracted. The extracted restaurant details and menu content may be saved as part of the generated website. Temporary Gemini file uploads are deleted after processing when the Gemini Files API is used.

Do not upload menus or documents that contain sensitive personal information that is not needed for the public restaurant website.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as needed to provide and protect the service, follow your directions, or meet legal requirements.

  • Service providers may process data for hosting, Redis data storage, AI menu extraction, authentication, email delivery, payments, custom domains, logging, and security.
  • Stripe processes payment and connected-account information when restaurants enable ordering. EatFoodNow does not store full card numbers.
  • Restaurants receive customer order details needed to prepare and fulfill paid pickup orders.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, to prevent abuse or security incidents, or as part of a business transfer involving EatFoodNow.

Retention

  • Restaurant site records are kept until the owner deletes the site or asks us to delete it, subject to short operational retention for active checkout or security needs.
  • Uploaded menu files are used for processing and are not kept as separate public files by EatFoodNow after extraction, although extracted menu and business content may remain on the generated website.
  • Paid pickup order records, including customer contact and pickup details, are retained in EatFoodNow for about 90 days.
  • Server logs, email records, payment records, security records, and provider-side copies may be retained for the periods needed for operations, legal compliance, accounting, abuse prevention, and dispute handling.

Your choices and rights

  • Restaurant owners can edit or delete site content from their account dashboard and inline editor.
  • You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by contacting us from the email address associated with your account or order.
  • Some information may be retained when required for legal, payment, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

Security and children

We use practical administrative and technical safeguards for the size and nature of the service, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. EatFoodNow is intended for restaurant owners and their customers, and it is not directed to children under 18.
